Fluids?
Tools?
Parts?
Bodies?
I want to hear about all of it, even the stuff you cant explain.

This was how i bought the Falcon.
She’s got a bumper jack, most of the important fluids, an expired fire extinguisher, a belt i cant install, and a flag just to throw people off the scent of a hipster liberal. The start of any good roadside kit.
But i could use some recommendations.

What is it you wont leave home without?

So, to be the first to reply to my own thread, this will be my new side project.
Found this guy at a local St. Vincents for nothing and decided this will be my roadside flare.

Its an old school R.E. Dietz Visi-Flash with the steel body. I plan to replace the bulb and create a stand to bolt it to, preferably one with a small tripod like telescoping apparatus so it will tuck away neatly in the trunk.

Why? Well i simply refuse to answer my own rhetorical question.

Any parts or tools that you feel could have gotten you out of trouble?

Im sure the Flarechero is running tip-top of course.
I however, live in constant fear worrying what will go first. Beer helps, but not on road trips.

I have a tool bag I keep in the cab behind the seat. Basic set (for me), but probably overkill. The drive-train has probably 500 miles on the oldest part, but the motor isn't even broke-in yet, so right now there isn't much in the way of parts to carry. But in days-long-gone I'd always carry a new set of points/condenser, fuel filter, and other things like that. But right now, I guess, the thing I carry is not in my trunk or cab. It's in my wallet. AAA.

I second that. AAA card, the side of the road “ain’t like it used to be.”
and... keep the phone numbers of certain club members in case advice is needed.

The trunk on my car was pretty full of (you can see). But I still got fold up chairs, bag of cleaning supplies and ice chest for my honey and I. No room for spare. Carried a few tools under seat. Then the oft used AAA. Larry

Larry - I edited your post to demonstrate the Picture Management thing I posted about. Your thread looks much better now (to me, anyway).

In my falcon I carry around:

Glove box:
Pens;
Notebook for milage registration and calculating when to fill up (fuell gauge works erratic);
Sun glases;
Dashcam;
Hand whipies;
Flashlight;
Occasionally a chocolate bar;

Under the front seat:
A 99 piece ratchet tool kit (basically the kit I used to tear the car apart and rebuild it;
An army style folding shovell;

Under the rear seat:
Jack, 2 cross wrenches for wheelnuts, prybar for the dog dishes;
(A bucketload of lost pencils, empty candy wrappers and what else my daughter managed to loose)

In the cargo area:
Washer fluid;
Bottle of lead replacement
Bottle of engine oil;
A nice vintage leather tool chest I got from a garage sale with in it: A spanner set, screw drivers, replacement bulbs, gun gum, metal wire, a set of rear bearings, and seal, set of replacement carb studs, 3 hi viz vests, flashlight (can't have enough of those), 2 magazines that My car featured in;
2 fleece plaids, a soccer ball;
2 folding stools;

In the spare compartmet:
A spare
Bottle of rear oil;
Bottle of tranny oil;
An aluminiumfoldable mattres (great for those roadside repairs)

I'm still contemplating making an extra storage space on the drivers side behind the rear wheel well.

Increadible isn't it, and we actually fit into the car as well!

Why? simple, because I can (and spares such as bearings are not easy to come by here).
