Hello All, and Happy Friday!
I just picked up my first; American, classic, and carbureted car yesterday through a trade. Someone was really interested in my e36 BMW and I was able to get this Falcon and an X3 for my E36 in return. I believe I got the better end of the deal!
1961 Falcon Coupe without supposedly 7x,xxx miles. It has air suspension all around, bench seats up front, pretty clean trunk setup with the tanks and speaker system, and a bunch more that I am still unfamiliar with. I have a LOT to learn since these are a foreign (ironic much?) species of cars for me. I've only ever driven and worked on BMW's since I got my license, and I'm no stranger to DIY'ing. But the only carburetor I ever worked on was on an old dirt bike, so now I'm forced to understand more about them.
The Falcon has the stock inline 6 with the 2 spd Ford-O-Matic which I'm convinced either needs a fluid change, or rebuild (yesterday while driving home I wasnt able to get it passed 25 mph.. could be that or engine related but I need to do a complete diagnosis soon).
Anyway, excited to be here and hope to learn a lot from you guys. On to the pictures!
