New here so Hello everyone,
Doing a stock resto of 64 ranchero and i am looking for any references on the original colors of the front end and rear suspension parts. Everything had rust so couldn’t really tell what color all the parts were.
found some refs for 64.5 mustang but wasn’t sure if those specs are the same for falcons and rancheros.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Rik,

Falcons and Mustangs used a lot of the same parts and they grabbed them from the same stock, as needed. If you've found colors on Mustangs (which I think will be far more prolific documentation for than for a Falcon), they'll apply to the Falcon. Don't be surprised to discover many under-car parts were (soon to be) rust colored; as in, not painted at all. For these there are now natural colored paints (cast iron, etc.) to replicate the look of day one.

Welcome, by the way. Feel free to share some pics and progress. And fill out the Introduction thread "Friends know each others name..."

Thanks Roger Moore. Wonder if anyone here knows if the sway bar, strut rods, the steering link and tie rod assemblies were left neutral from factory?

I doubt it's documented. Most steering parts I've seen (my 63, with 65 parts) had what looked to be a weak coating of black on these parts. Mostly a "quick dip" paintjob. Scouring factory assembly-line photos, if you can find them, would be your best bet.
