I have a 289 engine that I got from a friend of Rogers a few years ago in my garage. I do not know what car it came out of, but Roger may have some information on it. If anyone wants it you can have it. There is no carb or distributor on the engine. Larry

You know Larry, I've done so many things in my life with other people (automotive related) and they come up to me and ask "remember when you and I did so and so", and then I have to really sit and think sometimes to recall, until... "Oh yeah..." comes.

So this is one of those times, but have yet to reach the "Oh yeah" stage.

Oh... was that Gene's son's house over near Paine Field? It just struck me you coming over there and getting something...

Picture of it might help.

You were working on a mustang for a friend of yours. I think you were replacing the 289 for a larger engine. Sorry for not having more information. Larry

Yep, Gene's son. Not sure where the motor came from. Maybe it was Gene's old 289 before he got the 302 he's got now. Maybe Gene will see this. I'm sure he's home! Like the rest of us!

Not my old 289. That went to Canada to become part of a numbers matching restoral. My memory (15/16 years ago) says it was the complete engine as I was planning to use 4bl on my previously acquired 302.
