Anyone know of car shows coming up soon in our area? I see the calendar listed on another post but thought someone might know of others? Larry

I just signed up for the Hot Rods and Hogs show at the Maltby Christian Assembly Church in, of course, Maltby. It's June 14th, the day before Father's Day. Last year it was a really nice show; much bigger than I expected! Lance Lamber is going to be the emcee.

It's FREE.

I am also signed up for the Maltby show. It is my favorite for around here. Looking for something else around here to go to also. Larry

There is a free show and shine at the seven cedars casino over here in Sequim that I'm going to, then the following Sunday I plan on visiting you guys at the picnic. And then...

I also signed up for the Maltby show this year. I am registering for the July 27th show at Northshore Christian Church in Everett also. Last year it was small but good.

Hmmmm Maltby huh. This one has possibilities. Do you guys join up and park together or it is a show up and park it type show??

There haven't been many of us show up at the Maltby show at the same time, but would be nice if we could show up together.

Where and when is the show in Sequim at Seven Cedars?

It is on the 24th, two Saturdays away. They have it right in the front parking lot and it's free. I guess they hope you come in and gamble for a while. There are three or four restaurants inside, and about a block away is the chevron station. The casino is about 5 or 6 miles east of Sequim. They might hit 100 cars if the weather is good.

I just registered to the Maltby show. Went once with John Henry and it was a really nice show. Lots of parking and saw some very interesting cars and bikes.

I'm only good for about one car show a weekend these days so I won't be able to make it this year. All this sun and rain makes for too much yard work to catch up on.

I can sometimes get to one show or meeting a month with my other obligations (AKA young family). I also don't trust my rig too far out of the city. I look forward to getting my new driveline rebuilt and installed.

It will be nice weather tomorrow so have a great time!

The Maltby show is this Saturday! Is there still some interest in it, and do we want to meet ahead and go in together? There is a defunct Shell gas station on Paradise Lake road right at SR522 which is just a block from the church. We could meet there.
Show starts at 9:00; registration/check-in opens at 7:00.

I will be there unless it's real bad weather. Sounds like showers so believe I will go.. Not sure what time I am going in so won't try to meet at a specific time. Larry

I'm registered, but will post early Saturday if I'll make it. Meeting up at the station is fine - what time Gary if that's the plan? 8AM, 8:30, or right at 9AM?

8:30 sounds good to me. I'll get to the [defunct] gas station a little beforehand and wait to see who shows up.

Very steady rain so will be home staying dry today. If I had the ranchero I'd go, but my wagon I keep dry if possible. If anyone goes, enjoy.

I concur and am doing the same thing. Too bad, I was looking forward to this one.

I wish you guys would have come along. It sprinkled for just a short period of 30 minutes then was dry and even had a little sun at the end. Here are some pictures.
I decided to put my car on the dyno and it did great. I had the highest horsepower of any of the cars tested and it ran perfect. 332 RWHP with 338 torque and 137MPH at 6200RPM's in 4th gear.
I fully expected that a cobra would beat mine, and then when a Dodge 440 six pack didn't beat it I was satisfied.
My car won "Best Chrome" and "Participants Choice" so it was a fun day and never thought the dyno would be that much fun but there were some guys there from the club and they can attest it ran and sounded very good. Larry

I think your smile in the second photo says it all! Nice work.

I had never seen a portable dyno like that. Looks like a good time all around.

I will attest to THAT!! Larry's car sounded AWESOME! And, as always, it LOOKED awesome, too! A proud day for the Falcon... and a proud day for the Club!

That is too bad. We pretty much watched the rain coming down all day and who'd a thunk it would have been better weather just a few miles east of here.

Good job Larry - glad I wasn't there to walk away with some of those awards instead of you. :ROTFLMAO:

Naw- you'll be getting a lot of those. Good thing you have a large basement with lots of wall space. [thumb]

I've been so busy lately (sadly not at work, so much) I've not had the opportunity to touch my Ranchero which has the front-end stripped out from under it. I am gonna look seriously at doing some show, somewhere, soon.

Covington was great, saw 2 falcons besides my own.
Eatonville Sucked, Got there by 8:30 and they were Full. So I just looked around and left.
Sunday I am going Jeeping instead of Car shows.

Last warning for the Rakers car show in Port Townsend. Weather looks a little sketchy right now but usually turns out to be a great show. Hope to see some Falcons there!
