We took The Wonder Falcon on a 140-mile round trip from Tampa to Lake Wales yesterday.
I had noticed that someone has an old Dodge Coronet in the parking lot of an apartment complex that is near our house. We stopped as we were leaving and took a picture:

We drove east on Hwy 60 to Bok Tower Garden. Lake Wales is in the center of Central Florida and Bok Tower is built on the highest elevation in peninsular Florida, 298 feet above sea level.

The "Singing Tower" was built in 1929 and was dedicated by President Calvin Coolidge. It is a Carillion, meaning a bell tower where a number of bells are rang by pulling levers and it can be played like an organ or a piano. It is so nice to listen to the bell music while walking around the incredibly beautiful garden.

Then we visited the famous Chalet Suzanne. It is a hotel and restaurant that has been a local landmark since 1931.

There is a small air strip nearby and the Chalet Suzanne is a popular spot for "fly ins" by small-plane pilots.
