Found the ONLY pic I have of my old Sprint. Circa 1983. I purchased the car for $1500. At the time, was a months wages for me.
Rode like an F350! Car had air shocks and tall front springs that were removed and replaced to get it down.
Previous owner had made some rust repairs that were unfinished on the lower rear 1/4s. I finished the repairs, and spot painted them. Painted the hood and both front fenders as well.
Daily driver, until someone made me an offer and I accepted it.
I have an old registration,,,3R17F164446.

Dave, Dave, Dave; why would you sell off a beautiful car like that?
Guess I'm not one to talk I've bought and sold 8 in the last three years. I hope you find her and maybe lucky enough the owner will visit this forum. Good luck.

Wellllllllll, dad booted me out when his GF and 3 of her adult kids moved in.
I had to sell everything to try and buy a house. Traded my 54 Vicky for a 77 chev truck and some cash too, don't shoot me.
The house deal fell through, lost my job, and MY GF left me.
Seems I was spiraling downward a bit in my twenties.
Fast FWD 30 years, the Futura is looking brite!!:cool:

60? Born in the Kirkland hospital across from the Halls Ford dealer, kitty corner to Johnnies Mobil. Lived close to 116th and 88th, west of 405. Late 62, moved up south of Ldub. Dad was then working for Puget Power, and bought a new home for a whopping $16,000!!!.
My Dad worked for Johnnies Mobil as a teenager. On saturdays we would stop in and hang out for awhile. I would sneak across the street with my ice cold Fanta orange soda and check out the new Fords. As a 10 yo kid, my favorite car was the 1970 grabber blue Boss.
Johnny later moved to Bellevue on 108th and Main St. While there, I had worked for him in 77-78. In 1980 I went to work for a body shop under the old Rchards Road railroad trestle.
My Mom had a 61 or 62 6cyl 2Dr Glacier Blue Falcon back in 63-66. I could probably find a pic on a slide from the old slide projector.

My guess is that Dave was born in '60 if his favorite car at the age of ten was in the shade of '70 Grabber blue. Just a guess though.

Age 10 was when I first went hands-on working on cars. My dad bought the farm and my first rebuild was a Ford 8N tractor. But that was in California not Kirkland. :p
