A friend of mine at work is rebuilding a 1967 Ford Fairlane hardtop that he inherited from his father. It's a nice car, but I thought that the positioning of the gas cap is incredible. You have to fold down the spring-loaded license plate to find the gas cap. The gas cap is maybe a foot and a half of the ground and you can't see it from above because the bumper projects out over it. My friend says that he has to kneel to put gas in the car and he has to turn the filler spout sideways because the projecting bumper will not allow the spout to be inserted right side up.
Gas cap:

Another friend told me: "I had 67 OLDS Cutlass like that , it would also leak gas out the overflow when going uphill."
