Pre-1964 Wheels?

I just bought a disk brake conversion kit for the front of my 1962, and it says I can use 14" wheels if they are pre-1964. I would rather use the 14" than 15's, so what is different about them? what should I look for?

Not sure I know the answer to this but i would take my set up with me and check all the clearance before purchasing. it has to do with clearance for the calipers and all. I am sure a few google searches will help with this.

Might have something to do with the hub hole in the wheel too.
Though the later years are usually larger hub..
