Back in the late 1970's I had a cheap ventilated seat cushion (like the one in the following ads) in my 1963 Falcon Wagon that I drove while in high school. Instead of sitting stuck to hot vinyl, it let air circulate behind your seat and back. That is nice when you do not have air conditioning.

I just found that they are still available! They are listed on Amazon dot com as "Standard 60-2317-05 Ventilated Seat Cushion", but they are the same "Kool Kooshion" that was sold 50 years ago (or at least a modern equivalent thereof). Cool! Their prices have gone up, though. They used to be about $5 but now they are $16. The shipping adds another $6. I confess that I ignored the price and went ahead and bought one. I'll be riding on a breeze this summer!
