Does anyone know why when I post a thread then someone responds I get a email stating there is a response and also what it is? I would rather not get notified.Is there a way to not get emailed?

Everything to control your account is under the "Control Panel". After you've logged on and are at the main home page, click on the link in the left panel that says "Control Panel".

Up and down the left side of the page are all your options. Click on "Edit Options" and under "Messaging and Notification" you'll see a pop-up bar to choose the "Default Thread Subscription Mode".

You can change that to "No email notifications". But if you don't visit regularly you may miss a reply to a thread you started or were watching. I set up a rule in my mail client to put all those notifications in another folder and I reference it if need be or just empty it every so often.
