Transmission Swap

I knew I made a mistake when I didn't go with a 5 speed when I built my Falcon, I just want to shift the darn thing. sooooooo. I am going to go with a T5 and if anyone knows of one sitting around somewhere I would like to buy it. Also will need the clutch pedal, 302 bell housing for 87-93 ford. I also do not know where the shifter will go through the floor so I may have to purchase a rear housing off of an S10 T5 tranny with mechanical speedometer. I can get everything from an online spot, but I can't afford $3000 for this swap.

I will be selling the C4 I have in the car now. It was totally rebuilt with new servos, shift kit, new lokar kickdown cable, 2500 rpm convertor. It only has 800 miles on it and it works perfect. Let me know if you have any parts or know of someone who does.

Stock fox body mustang goes right through the floor where the cross bracing is..

But its a great location. The s10 mod is more than just the tail shaft.. theres internal parts that need swapped..

It comes through near the stock location.. not bad but i had to lean forward alittle when shifting..

There is a guy here in spokane that parts out foxbody mustangs.. i can find his number for you if you want

Thanks Nathan. I realize a few of the internals of the S10 are going to be needed. I see that i will need to change the speedo gear location has to be changed and other items will have to be addressed.

I already have a hole in the floor where my shifter comes through now. I am hoping the S10 location is the same. I also don't want the shifter to be too far aft because I have the console installed.

I would really appreciate any help with your friend on locating the parts i need. Thanks very much. Larry

With either option it will put the shifter in the center of the hump.

With the s10 option puts it close to the stock location just centered.

I'll find noah's number for you..

No i must have deleted it from my phone and he hasnt returned my emails.

He normally posts on spokanes craiglist usually in all caps. I havent seen any listings in a while too.

He supposedly sells on ebay too.

I bought my t5 from a seller off ebay from texas... rebuilt with warranty no core exchange. Shipped to my door $750..
