It's been 4 years since we had a meeting down at Golden Gardens. Hard to believe! At the last meeting we decided to revive it and I volunteered to coordinate things.
Since all our meetings through the winter months don't allow much daylight afterwards to kick tires and discuss car projects, this meet and greet is strictly for car talk. Hopefully the weather will coordinate and the sun will shine. In 2007 we held it on March 10. If I recall it was a little chilly with a few sprinkles.
This years "Golden Gardens Meet & Greet" will be on Sat., April 21 at 10:00. Bring a Thermos or mug with something warm to drink. Around noon, those who want to will drive over to the Ballard Locks for lunch. If the weather's nice I propose we check out the newly restored Red Mill Burger which used to be Totem House Seafood. There are picnic tables outside for larger groups. They did a very nice job bringing a classic structure back to life. And they make a pretty mean burger & fries and have lots of great shake flavors. There are 3 Red Mill burgers and this one serves fish & chips to honor the Totem House.
If it's really cold or (let's hope not) rainy, we could go across the street to the Lockspot Cafe. It has a few big tables and good food.
So bring your Falcon if you can or if it's not road ready yet, come down and meet some fellow Falcon fanatics. Hope to see you there!
