I just pulled a 7.25" 4-lugger from the Ranchero. It is the same if you still have that style rear-end. It is yours if you want it.
I don't know the condition, but it got the car from Sequim to Lynnwood.

Is the '63 same width as the '65?
Maybe you will have more room for wider tires.

I hope the perches are the same distance, so I don't have to move them, but not the end of the world if they aren't

I am pretty certain all 60-65 Falcons have the same width. Backing plate to backing plate may vary though. I'll measure the 65 V-8 rearend I'm putting in to compare it to the one I took out. If you want to measure backing plate to backing plate on yours, you can post it or call me before driving out here.

I'm not really concerned I have room around my tires and spring perches would be just a little more work but it would be nice to know. It would be a bonus if the axle ratio is in the low 3's rather than the 3:50 I have. See you Sunday.

I suspect all these 7.25 rear have the 3.50 gearing. I'm sure it is exactly what you have now. It's free, it will keep you going, and then you can start keeping an eye out for an 8" 4 lug from a Maverick, which is what Kenny and I both have in our other cars. They're getting rare, but they pop-up once in a while. And they are always 2.79 gear.

Perch to Perch is 43.5 and from the back of the upper brake-shoe pivot boss (upper part of the backing plate just above the bolts holding the wheel cylinder) is 50.5 between here.
Hope this heps.
