Does anyone have a set of front coils they could measure for me. I have a set that I got from a guy, and he said they were from a 63 sprint. However I think they have been cut. It looks to be about 4" shorter than my coils of the delivery that had a straight 6 in it??? He might have cut them down to lower the car which is fine as long as it is no more than 2"..
Want to figure this out before I powder coat them. Thanks Steve....

Help anyone. I don't want to order new springs if I don't need them.... Thanks Steve

I don't have one off the car to measure... but I found on the TFFN one guy (could be a maniac) said the unloaded length of front spring is 16.5 inches. Does that match either of your sprigs?

Mine are at 12.25" unloaded???? Crap, that means he cut 4" off of them. I wonder how low it will sit with all the weight on the car???? Guess I should start to budget in some new springs...

They make springs for a 6cly and for a V8, there for the rate is different, I have V8 springs with one coil removed, sits good and the ride is also good....john

I have a set of new 65 Mustang V8 spings at home. I'll measure when I get there.
