Well my luck at the drags ran out. The car ran great on Sat.
for test and tune. Ran a 12.41-12.44-12.43. On Sun. morning
it ran a 12.38. Better air! First round of eleminations I went to
the staging lanes. Turned off the engine to wait. Went to restart
the engine and the battery was DEAD! The alternator had quit
working and I hadn't noticed it. We jumped it and got it going,
but as soon as I turned on the electric fan and water pump
it died. So I towed it back to the pits and called it a day!
As they say, that's racing! I am going back up to Mission
on Sept. 11 & 12 for the Mega Ford Weekend. With a
new alternator!
