I am getting started on the interior and have a few questions. How do you attach the windlace (bulbous) material at the frame just aft of the door. There is a slot in the panel at the top (see picture) and I have these corroded squarish looking clips that I don't know their use. Do you know what they are used for? (see picture)

Hi Larry,

The picture I posted a few weeks ago shows that clip in use.

The photo is shown next to the windshield but it is the same at the rear of the door (front of the rear of the door... how to say that?)

I don't know about the top termination, I'm guessing the HT just sticks the bulbus part in the hole, bends 90 degrees down and the tail portion goes in that slot shown on your photo. The original lace had an extra piece on the cross section that would help hold the tail part inside the slot. I have not found any reprodution with that extra bit.

Yeah, I'd guess Jeff is right about that. Put the clips in the holes first, put on the material before the door panels are on and put the loose end in the hole.

Those little clips need to be closed up enough so that the material grips when pushed between the three legs (two on one side and one with the teeth, in the center, on the other side). To get the piece out again, without tearing it out, you spread the toothed leg out enough to let the material fall out.
