8" Rear axles

So I purchased an 8" from a 63 futura. How much horsepower can these guys take before I have to worry. I think I would like to get around the 350-400 hp mark by the time I am done?? Will I need to step up to a nine inch eventually or will the 8 hold it?? Thanks Steve

The 8" is pretty strong. I wouldn't worry too much. If you plan to start drg racing with slicks then go with a 9".
