I'd consider myself a purist, but that's mostly due to my OCD (if it was designed like this, rebuilt it like this), but I've been known to stray from it, mostly for practical reasons (my pertonix installation beiing the most radical I believe) And rebuilding my generator the most OCD ever.
But, I can definitely appreciate a project like you are doing. I lack the skills for such a project and I can sometimes look at posts with amazement what people can build. (I love the youtube channel fitzees fabrications).
Keep the updates coming and keep us amazed.
