Golden Gardens Meet & Greet - Sun., April 28

Last year, after a 4 year hiatus, we met up for a casual gathering at Golden Gardens Park and had a great time.

Spring is time to shake off the wet, cold, dark Northwest winter and go for a cruise, kick tires, discuss car projects, and meet other Falcon fanatics. There are usually a handful of spectators from the park and the marina who stop by to admire the classics. This meet and greet is strictly for car talk.

This years "Golden Gardens Meet & Greet" will be on Sun., April 28 at 10:00. Bring something warm to drink and around noon, those who want to will drive over to the Lockspot Cafe for lunch.

Bring your Falcon if it's running! If not, come down in your daily driver.

Here are a few photos from last year's event. The weather was great as was the turnout. We hope to see you there this year!

Probably won't get a feel for the weather for a few weeks but we'll hope for the best! Last year was just right!

Well...so far Sunday is looking like 30% chance of rain but you just never know. Since I don't live far away I will show up even if it's raining. But all will be forgiven if nobody else does. It's no fun standing around in the rain!

    Alas...
Even though Freddie is up to the trip, I will be on an obligatory family visit in CA that day.

Ballard weather report...overcast...not currently raining but everything's wet outside so it has been.

I'm guessing it will be drizzles on and off throughout the day. I'll be down there around 10:00. Hope a few of you can make it but if not, I certainly understand.

Maybe we should have had a meet & greet dinner during the week. It seems to be sunny and nice then!

How'd it go you two. Did you have a nice lunch together?

It was raining pretty heavy when I got up and though I knew I wasn't going to make it myself thought to myself that others would likely not make it either because of weather. I never even got the chance to look at the site until now to see. Did the weather hold in Ballard.

Three of us made it in our Falcons this year (me, Jeff, and Pat) and we had a couple of guests. Don Bartlett and his brother (I apologize that I can't remember his name) were there from Federal Way I believe. They just acquired their grandfather's `61. He was the original owner and it has lived in Texas all it's life. They plan on a restoration and seemed glad to pick our brains. And we were happy to show off our knowledge.

The rain held off here in Ballard but it was chilly. We all headed off to the Lockspot for fish 'n chips afterwards.
